I am curious about the impact things have on us and how they create a space that would not exist without them. They activate a moment that might be choreographed between two people or that might travel through lines of generations, friends, and families connected in the moment of unpacking-the intimate gesture of opening up, the embracing and marking of an event. The objects aim to activate but do not direct a concrete scenario. These sets of tools or remnants offer a new shared moment, the unfolding of a potential secret. “Beginnings, endings, or everything in between,” says Iris Eichenberg. This necklace is created by thousands of identical elements, in a time-consuming and repetitive process that Milić describes as being “near meditative.” It looks like flowing rivers of chains within chains, cascades of preciousness that glitter and shine yet remain constrained within a design so elegant it merely caresses the wearer. If your trainers do happen to be in a dark spot in your studios, I would consider mounting some lights in the ceiling where they will be streaming and running a cord to an outlet that you can simply turn on and off with a light switch. Remember, this is something you can invest in down the road, but doing it right out of the gate isn't your number one priority. I would invest in amazing sound quality far earlier than I would a dramatic lighting setup. But if you are trying to save money, the lighting might be the best place to start. If you want to go for a special look with dramatic lighting or stand out, by all means, GO FOR IT. Lighting for video absolutely, 100% matters - but if you are live streaming in one your fitness studios at the Y, chances are your lighting is pretty good to begin with. ![]() Do a test on these mics first to see if you're satisfied with the audio. But in my experience, when these mics feed into OBS, you begin to hear your voice sound like it's talking on a telephone. Some Y's say, "Why can't I just use my mic that I already use in the studio?" You can totally do that. You will hear a noticeable quality difference as soon as you go from a microphone on your camera to one of the wireless lavalier microphones listed above. That mic will count as one "audio input source" in your broadcasting software (Streamlabs OBS, Ecamm for Mac, VMix, etc.) The microphones listed above will all work as great options to provide your audience with crisp, clear audio from your presenter. You're going to want to get a mic for each person who is on screen. The audience will readily forgive a poor quality picture before they forgive poor quality sound, so it is your job to make that sound as pleasant-sounding as possible. Sound influences our perception of a video's quality perhaps even greater than the image quality itself. Trust me, as the lead Mac/Apple apologist for the YMCA Movement, it burns my soul to display nothing for those of us who solely use Macs. You really don't want to get cheap on these options and you'll future-proof yourself more by upgrading your computer beyond what is suggested above. You're going to have various applications running at the same time such as OBS, live chats, browsers, and overlays. I like to recommend NVidia RTX Graphics Cards for their superior hardware encoding performance, which you will need to capture raw video and audio data from your camera, convert that data into compressed files (called encoding), and then upload it to the Internet in real-time. ![]() Less than 16GB and you could run into performance issues. The minimum amount of RAM to use in live streaming that we suggest is 16GB. Your RAM is also important for streaming because there are so many simultaneous tasks being performed at once. The conspirators saw the murder as the only available and effective solution to prevent leadership stagnation and accomplish their respective goals. It is generally believed that a group of senators were unhappy with the policies the man proposed and the power he was quickly garnering in a republican country. There are a number of complex reasons as to why the event occurred, stemming from the economic, political, and social state of the time. Familiar even to people uninterested in ancient history, the murder has had a significant impact on the course of Roman development and the subsequent rule of violence on leadership in the country. The assassination of general Julius Caesar is one of the most notable and well-known events in the history of the Roman Republic. Being a military general during the time of the Roman Republic, the man has amassed great power and made a long-lasting impression in history. Among its many political figures and thought leaders, none are as renowned as Julius Caesar. Nowadays, it is still held in high regard, although few people concern themselves with the full history of the Roman civilization. The contemporary cultural, political, and philosophic tradition was built on the basis of old Roman practice and theory. In a zoological setting, these large reptiles must be provided with adequate housing space. They can grow quite large, and while they are not extremely dangerous to humans, housing such a lengthy snake can prove to be difficult. Only a seasoned expert with all the correct permits and licenses can or should legally own this species. Does the Burmese Python Make a Good Petįor the most part, these snakes do not make good pets. Though captive breeding populations and selective breeding has occurred in the pet trade, this species has not been undergoing change for long enough to be considered domesticated. These reptiles are also captured and killed for their meat and skin, which is used in the leather market. In many places in the United States it is illegal to own this species of snake as a pet. Habitat destruction reduces population numbers, but illegal capture for the pet trade is even more detrimental. In their wild range, these creatures are actually considered Vulnerable by the IUCN Red List. Larger individuals will feed on pigs, goats, deer, and even alligators. Smaller snakes will eat rats, mice, rabbits, birds, and other appropriately sized prey. Prey species depends greatly on their size. It is not uncommon to find snakes near human habitation simply because of an increased vermin (and thus prey) population. They are carnivores, which means that they feed on meat and virtually no plant matter. These reptiles will eat just about any animals they can sink their teeth into. Populations have also been found in north Florida and the Florida panhandle. In their invasive range in Florida, they are found most frequently in south Florida, particularly in the Florida Everglades. They are native to eastern India, Sumbawa, Nepal, Bali, Bhutan, Sulawesi, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam. In their natural range, these reptiles are found in south and southeast Asia. These types of habitats are found in both their native range in Asia, and their invasive range in Florida. They can commonly be found in swamps, wetlands, grasslands, marshes, woodlands, juggles, rocky foothills, and river valleys. This preference for watery habitats makes them perfectly suited for a Florida environment. Their favorite habitats are in close proximity to permanent water sources. Females will actually rapidly twitch their muscles to increase temperature, similar to how we shiver.īurmese pythons are not aquatic snakes, but they are very good swimmers. While most reptiles will bury their eggs, letting the sun and vegetation do their incubation for them, pythons use their muscles. Motherly Love – Unlike many other reptiles, these snakes incubate their eggs using their bodies. After they have grabbed ahold of their meal, they coil around it and squeeze! This is called using constriction to kill prey. Instead they utilize multiple teeth, allowing them to grip their prey well. No Venom Here – These snakes are not venomous species.Unfortunately, these snakes survived and thrived in Florida’s habitats and are breeding and spreading. These snakes are purchased while they are small, and when the owner realizes they cannot care for their quickly growing companion they release them into the wild. Pet Peeve – Another source of invasive snakes are household pets. The escapees are the ancestors of the estimated 100,000 pythons currently invading the Everglades. The original establishment of invasive populations can be traced back to hurricane Andrew in 1992, when a python breeding facility was destroyed.
